How to Find The Best Physical Therapist in Your Area
In the area I live in, the most common search term when looking for a physical therapist is “best physical therapist Tampa, FL”, “best physical therapist Land O’ Lakes, FL” or “best physical therapist Lutz, FL.”
Most businesses say they have the best PT’s working at their physical therapy clinic so how do you really know if that is true?
I have had the privilege of traveling world and teaching an immediate pain relief treatment method that I developed called Whelton Myofascial Referral Technique to physical therapists, chiropractors, acupuncturists, massage therapists and other health care practitioners.
What I noticed was there is a very small group of practitioners that are trained in outside the box, immediately effective treatment methods. These are the clinicians I personally would go to. Most physical therapists will typically massage you or do some other hands on treatment for fifteen minutes, then put you through some exercises and maybe put you on the bike or treadmill. If you get results they are gradual and it may take three to four weeks to start seeing a difference.
The outside the box PT’s can typically get dramatic results in a few minutes and get you better faster.
The other thing that I have done in my clinic Sport and Spine Physical Therapy and Wellness Center in Tampa, FL and a lot of physical therapists in Tampa and around the country are changing their business model so they are not seeing four to five patients an hour and only seeing one patient one on one. This is invaluable to the patients as they get the undivided attention they deserve.
Best of Luck in Your Search,
